Make Ringtones from Youtube Videos

It’s no news to me that internet is wonderful. I love it and can’t even imagine how life would have proceeded without internet. But again and again the net keeps on surprising me, very pleasantly, with its ever increasing wonders.

The latest wonder is actually a website that does something very simple, and does it very simply, in just three easy steps.

But before I introduce it, tell me, has it ever happened that your heart is set upon a particular ringtone but you can’t find it anywhere? Either it’s not available for free, or you need to register to download it, or it just isn’t available. How frustrating that feels. It seems that the World Wide Web has all the things in the world, except the one tune that you want. Well, here’s something to remove that frustration. Here’s a website that, in three simple steps, gives you your desired ringtone from a Youtube video! So if the tone you require is there on some video on Youtube, in just two minutes you can have it as a ringtone.

The website is aptly called video2ringtone.comWhat I liked best about this website was that it does what it promises to do, and it does it very simply. The website looks clean and uncluttered, the interface is simple and almost too easy, and you don’t even need to register to use it.

All you need to do is visit the website and follow these three steps:

1. Search out your desired video on Youtube and paste its URL in the field marked in Step 1 on video2ringtone.com.

2. Let the video upload. When the uploading is complete, just adjust the markers according to where you want the ringtone to start and where it should end. This way, you clip just the required portion of the video’s soundtrack. It would be useless if the whole of the video’s soundtrack were to be turned into a ringtone. But by adjusting these markups, you get only the portion you want as your ringtone.

Step 3: Give your ringtone a name and choose the format you want to use. The available options are MP3, AAC, M4R, MP4, OGG, WMA. Now click the button saying ‘Make A Ringtone.’ That’s all you need to do to get your desired ringtone or even the whole song. Clicking the ‘Make A Ringtone’ button would give you two links. One is Download link, and the other is Share link. Just download the ringtone by right clicking on the download link that is served and choosing Save As. Using the second link, you can share the tone with your contacts.

And if you are not satisfied with the ringtone, you’ll see the ‘Make a Ringtone’ has been changed into a Reset button. So just reset and try again.

It’s that simple. In just three steps, you can extract a ringtone from any Youtube video.

So go ahead, give it a try at video2ringtone.com

Note: If you are a smartphone user, there are several apps available as well that you can use to convert any sound file to a ringtone. Ringdroid is one such app that you can use to create your own custom ringtones on an an Android phone. Most of these apps are simple to use. However, to use these apps, you need to first download the song to your phone. And if you don’t have the song, you can’t have the ringtone. Of course, there are plenty of websites from where you can get your chosen song, but most of the time that is neither legal, nor safe.

But there’s no such hassles at video2ringtone.com as all you need is to search a youtube video.
