LG Block your calender

Here’s a good news for those Smartphone lovers in India who have been eagerly waiting for LG’s flagship mobile G2 to arrive in India. The smartphone, with its uniquely placed power button and volume rocker, was unveiled in August. And now, it is all set to arrive in India on 30th of September.

G2 has already earned much appreciation by the lovers of mobile technology. Besides the unique placement of power button and volume rocker (at the back panel), the phone also impresses with its edge-to-edge 5.2-inch, 1080p display. It has a 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 processor and a 2GB RAM. G2 also has a dedicated Graphics RAM which, according to LG, is capable of reducing the display’s battery consumption by up to 26 percent.

G2 is powered by 3,000mAh battery. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS, 2.1-megapixel secondary camera. In India, it is to be available in 16 GB and 32 GB variants.

As for the Operating System, G2 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. As per the claims by LG, G2 is the first smartphone in the market that features 24 bit/192kHz Hi-Fi playback that promises a studio-like quality sound.

Being a high-end device (most likely to be priced around or above Rs. 40,000), G2 stands in direct competition with smartphones like Apple iPhone 5, HTC One, Samsung  Galaxy S4, Samsung Note 3, Sony Xperia Z, Sony Xperia Z1, Nokia Lumia 925 and BlackBerry  Z10. Each of these smartphones have proved their worth. It would be interesting to see which of these ultimately wins over the greatest number of admirers.
