Shortfundly: For the Fun of Short Films

Shortfundly = platform for shortfilms

Do you enjoy watching short films? Or would you like to make short films but don’t know how to fund your dream? Then check out Shortfundly.

Shortfundly is a dedicated shortfilms video platform. It seeks to showcase Asian short films and to help short film lovers discover new short films and film makers. Shortfundly also seeks to help promising short film makers through crowd-funding. They are also helping short film makers get connected with each other through LinkedIn.

It’s like YouTube dedicated to short films. A great place to discover new and interesting short films and to showcase your movies if you are a short film maker. I watched only a couple short films yet and loved them, even though one of them was in Tamil language and I couldn’t understand the dialogues. But it was still fun.

The website is clean and simple. The home page showcases featured short films of various languages. Through the side bar on left, users can browse through short films of particular category like most liked, most viewed, sports, comedy, animation etc. The right side bar allows one to browse through short films of particular language. Anyone can watch the short films on shortfundly. But only the subscribers can rate or like the movie. Subscribing is free and can be done by filling the subscription form or by Facebook or Twitter.

As the website allows registered users to rate the movies, every video bears rating details. These include overall rating, as well as rating for particular quality parameters. This can come handy in judging which movie to watch in your limited free time.
