Twitter Celebrates India’s Independence Day

Tweet by Narendra Modi using hashtag #India

On India’s 69th Independence Day, Twitter India has launched the Indian flag’s emoji. The emoji was launched by our Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi in his tweet (image above) wishing all Indians happy Independence Day.

To use this brand new emoji, all you have to do is use hashtag #India in your tweet. And that will automatically make Indian Tricolour appear after the hashtag. Sadly, this feature will remain active only till the midnight of 16th August. How cool it would have been if this were a permanent feature!

Anyway, here’s my¬†tweet using¬†this emoji:

hashtag India
